Face Lift & Defined Cheek Bones
Beauty in the eyes of the beholder. This patient was thrilled with her results and loved having “more defined cheek bones”. Some patients might interpret this as mild hollowing of the cheek. No tissue is removed after a facelift, but all patients lose volume over the years. That volume loss in the cheek is often masked by gravitational descent of the cheek skin and fat drooping in that area. When it is lifted back to its normal youthful position, some patients feel that they look more hollow. In this case, I recommend long acting fillers for the hollowness that occurs naturally in aging.
