Case Study Two

Patient desired hump reduction and more feminine nose. This was achieved by creating a more delicate narrow tip. The pre-operative tip is mildly “bulbous”. As one can see here, millimeters make a difference.

The attractive woman’s nose dominates her facial profile per her own perception. Removing the hump and re-shaping the nasal prominence achieves harmony to the face as her nose is now more proportionate. A natural look is always desired and is achieved here.

Case Study Three

One must always plan the nose with the chin in mind as the balance between chin and nose is critical and the must be balanced as much as possible. We achieved a much more attractive look by rotating the tip upwards to the perfect angle for a female as well as shaving down her hump. Although her nose might be slightly larger than she desired, it now matches her chin more closely. Any more reduction in her nose size would bring her chin into dominance, which is more masculine and undesirable. The patient was extremely pleased.

In addition to the improvement in the profile view, the front view is greatly improved with rotation upward ever so slightly. One wants to avoid over rotation and a “pig nose”. This type of rotation is greatly appreciated in women who desire and need it. Her tip was also a little thick and bulbous which was addressed to achieve a more delicate, refined and feminine touch.

Case Study Four

Improvement in facial profile is achieved here by mild rotation, hump reduction, and creation of a “supra – tip break. It is appropriate for most men to have a straight nasal profile, but women usually like a mild depression immediate above the tip as shown here. This is a classic soft feminine nose.

Case Study Five

This patient had mild hump reduction and rotation of a nose that was good to begin with. However, the nose improved the profile to her great satisfaction, but the overall result was greatly improved with a simultaneous chin implant. Now facial harmony is perfect. In the right patient who needs it, a simultaneous rhinoplasty and chin implant can give dramatic improved results.
